Freedom for Scotland!

art digital, 2024

A Rough Collie in the scene of a ray of sunshine, with the Scottish flag (noting its roots in the dog breed), was poised to confront the struggle for Scotland\'s liberation from English rulers. Throughout history, Scotland has faced various invasions and dominations, but its yearning for independence was particularly strong during the 14th century, with emblematic figures like William Wallace and Robert the Bruce leading the resistance. The collie has also removed the chain and collar from the unicorn (the emblem of Scotland), symbolizing freedom, which now embodies the revolt against this subjugation. I wanted to portray him as a knight in Scottish attire (kilt and cloak included).
