BIOGRAPHY Franco Longo was born in Salerno, Italy, education, Fine Arts Academy in Naples Italy. In 1975 he takes part to the 10th Quadriennale Exhibition, La Nuova Generazione, at the exhibition Palace in Rome, within which, through multimedia materials, he enunciates the quotation HIC ET NUNC and defines the space/time crossing through a continuous projection with the sound flowing of a water clock. In 1981 he is pointed out by Filiberto Menna in the Bolaffi Catalogue Graphic Art n. 11. In 1982 he prepares the personal exhibition at Studio Trisorio in Naples, “Sogno d’amore sull’ipotenusa” with the critic of Antonio D’Avossa. In 1982 he takes part to Differenza Video, an International Exhibition of artistic videos at Studio Trisorio in Naples. He also takes part to the Annual Living Room Video Festival ’83 in Salling, Denmark, and to the video c.d. 83 at Cankajev Dom in Ljubiana, Yugoslavia. He takes part to the exhibition “L’Immaginario Tecnologico” in 1984, at the Museo del Sannio, Benevento. In 1985 he takes part to Art Media, Rassegna di Estetica del Video, University of Salerno. “U-Tape”, Palazzo dei Diamanti, Ferrara. In 1989 he prepares a personal exhibition at the auditorium S. Giovanni di Dio in Salerno, with the publication of book “VIZIO E MALINCONIA DELLA PITTURA” di Michele Bonuomo, Edizioni Gabriele Mazzotta, Milano. In 1994 he is invited at the Musèe Municipal de Saint Paul, France, where he prepares a personal exhibition with the introduction in his catalogue of poetical text by Andrè Verdet : Prestiges d’une peinture. In 1996 he prepares a personal exhibition at the Lazzaretto, ex Ospedale S. Maria della Pace, Napoli. Catalogue-monography by Rino Mele and Massimo Oldoni, Regione Campania, Comune di Napoli. In 2001 he takes part to the 11 th Scientific Week “Musis” University “La Sapienza” in Rome, Lavatoio Contumaciale, Rome.
