ROOTS IN TIME

Acrilico su tela, Tela, 2025

Overall, the painting represents a metaphor for modernity: the inexorable expansion of cities, leaving behind the bare and silent nature. Several visual and symbolic elements express a strong contrast between nature and urbanization. The tree, positioned in the foreground, with its bare and tangled branches extending in every direction, evokes the resistance and fragility of nature. The city, on the other hand, appears in the background as an indistinct shape, shrouded in a silent and gray fog, as if it were an entity alien to nature that looms like a shadow over the landscape. This contrast between the organic complexity of the tree and the rigid and geometric lines of the city suggests a tension between the natural world and the man-made one.
