Transitions No. 1

In Transitions No. 1, the figure never fully reveals itself.
Emerging from the painted surface, it appears suspended in a moment of passage — between what has been and what is about to become.

The work unfolds across multiple technical layers:
a clearly defined figurative presence enters into dialogue with material passages, subtle glazing, and gestural interventions that disrupt the continuity of the image. It is within this coexistence that the tension of the Transitions series takes shape.

Executed in oil on canvas, the painting inaugurates the cycle and represents its initial point of balance, establishing it as a key work within the artist’s most recent research, presented on international platforms and in curated contexts.
