OBLIO

OBLIO is made from a combination of different wood species, selected for their natural characteristics and distinct colour tones.
More than 4,000 wooden layers, each 0.6 mm thick, are stacked according to the form of the artwork, creating the raw block.
The form is then sculpted entirely by hand and subsequently sanded, progressively revealing the internal structure and the different tones of the woods. The surface is finally polished with natural wax, enhancing the natural colours and the pattern of the wood.
The creation of OBLIO required approximately 10 months of work.
