To the joyful sound of bells, the altars of its churches, the townsfolk dressed in their Sunday best, and the houses adorned with foliage—on I have restored the novel Bonaparte, illustrated by Jacques Onfroy de Bréville, known as Job, in my own version to commemorate both the artist and the writer who collaborated with Jacques Onfroy de Bréville.
