*1. What is "Independence Day"?*  *Independence Day* = July 4th.  It’s the US holiday that celebrates the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776. Think fireworks, flags, BBQs, parades.
*2. Why did I use Tibetan foxes?*  Because of that *apathetic, cynical stare* they have.  It was beautiful to see them like that for this illustration dedicated to American Independence Day.
The contrast is the whole point:  Instead of eagles screaming and flags waving, you get these Tibetan foxes looking bored, unimpressed, and super chill in the middle of all the chaos.  It’s ironic, elegant, and a little bit "I’ve seen it all before" energy. Perfect for a 4th of July piece that doesn’t look like everyone else’s.
