Tribute to the Cuban revolutionary leader
Esa proclama es: "Patria o Muerte!" With these famous words, Commander Ernesto "Che" Guevara (1928-1967) concluded his historic speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on 11 December 1964.
Screen printing. Monoprint (45.8 x 65 cm) on ivory Murillo Fabriano paper 360 g / m2, 100% Cellulose (50 x 70 cm). Limited edition: 8/16 Monoprints. The pictorial effect was obtained using a small screen printing squeegee like a palette knife to paint and pouring more colors on the frame; in particular the colors, in a chiaroscuro function, were used to emphasize the subject. Slightly misregistered prints, small smudges and uneven ink deposits are purely intentional. For the work 4 screen printing frames were used. The print is shipped in a low-cost frame (52 x 72 x 3 cm) with a front plastic (polystyrene) protection; this structure has no specific aesthetic function; in fact, its main function, along with the packaging, is to protect the print during shipping. Shipping costs included (N.B. only in Italy).
