La piega

Questa mostra trae ispirazione dal quadro filosofico di Gilles Deleuze, in particolare dal suo saggio La piega, e dal pensiero più ampio che emerge dal suo confronto con Leibniz, l'architettura barocca, l'interiorità, la molteplicità e la superficie continua dell'esperienza. La piega non è semplicemente un motivo visivo. È una condizione.

Per Deleuze, la piega descrive interno ed esterno come elementi continui, anziché opposti. Materia e pensiero si influenzano reciprocamente in modo infinito, la soggettività come stratificata, plissettata e in divenire, il mondo come qualcosa che si piega, si incurva, si raccoglie e si disperde.

La piega non è binaria. Non è un aut aut. È entrambi e altro ancora.

The Fold
This exhibition draws inspiration from the philosophical framework of Gilles Deleuze—specifically his essay *The Fold*—and the broader thought emerging from his engagement with Leibniz, Baroque architecture, interiority, multiplicity, and the continuous surface of experience. The fold is not merely a visual motif; it is a condition.
For Deleuze, the fold describes the interior and the exterior as continuous elements rather than opposites. Matter and thought mutually influence one another infinitely; subjectivity is seen as stratified, pleated, and in a state of becoming; and the world is viewed as something that folds, curves, gathers, and disperses.
The fold is not binary. It is not an "either/or." It is both, and more besides.
