In this work, the gesture is quieter, yet more permanent.
A single high heel rests upon a burned book.The pages beneath it are darkened, fragile, transformed by fire. What was once an archive of words has become something else: matter marked by time and heat.
Around it, splashes of red appear like traces left behind — not violent, but inevitable. They suggest memory, consequence, or perhaps the invisible thread that connects desire and loss.
The heel does not press with force. It simply remains.The book has already endured its transformation, yet the presence above it creates a new tension: a silent relationship between what has been destroyed and what continues to stand.
Bond speaks of connection — the subtle ties between beauty and damage, between memory and transformation. Even after the fire, something persists.
Because every act that alters the past also creates a new link to it.
