Dolphin
Scultura, Legno, 2025
Dolphin
As a passionate lover of the sea, I have had the opportunity on several occasions to encounter these magnificent mammals while sailing. Intelligent and highly sociable, they often accompanied me for long stretches, jumping and playing at the bow of the boat. It is always a wonderful sight to watch them.
With this work, I sought to recreate those moments and images using three types of solid wood: mahogany, akatio, and tanganica. The block, composed of these three different wood species, was constructed according to the shape of the subject and subsequently hand-carved.
