Biography.
I born in Bitetto (BA), Italy in 1941 , after my 3 years army period as electronic specialist as sergent degree I left army and worked in the naval industries for approximately 35 years as electtrotecnic. In the last 15 years, on building submarines Sauro class. I carved out a career as quality control.
I studied Art Design as autodidact. Art became important to me again 10 years ago whilst visiting museum and galleries. All the artwork displayed here and on my website has been produced within the last 10 years. I work in a variety of medium and tecnics including digital (Photoshop, FLASH) oil on canvas, murales paint, sculptures, art trainer. Following the Roger Bacon's philosophy such " On the Ligth's metaphora" as knowledge of the world and the umanity's sense, I create so as I can do my art works that you can see on my site. Criticism and observer give me a statement as artist, I don't really have, Ielaborate art as and when I feel I need to. My work is primarily created for my benefit, but, if others enjoy it....it is both a bonus and a compliment.

Nico Soranno nelle Sue opere considera inevitabile L’evoluzione tecnologica e spirituale dell’umanità e cerca anche una soluzione agli interrogativi artistici di fronte alle tante eclatanti speculazioni.
Cortocircuitando il mercato, Soranno si esprime con pennelli, tele, colori tradizionali, integrando le tecniche della Società attuale. Di fronte alle Sue opere il fruitore, interagisce quasi disorientato nell’osservare nuovi spazi e nuovi volumi realizzati sul tema metaforico sulla “Luce”.
Il campo d’azione di Soranno, è un senza limiti, dove il tema dell’arte e’ un moto infinito ( così come affermano i critici Prof. Silvio Cumpeta, Prof. Licinio Boarini, Francesco Caretto, Prof.ssa. Chiara Santagada, Prof. Enzo Santese, il Prof. Gianni Seviroli, Vera Vattovani, nel presentare l’artista ) in continua evoluzione.
Numerose sono le mostre personali di Nico Soranno dove puntualmente ottiene ampi consensi di pubblico e di critica riservando ai fruitori un ruolo, quello di indagine, di giudizio libero e inappellabile.

ALTERNATIVE ACCADEMY OF VISUAL ART.
The alternative visual art accademy in Gradisca d'Isonzo (GO) Via P.Zorutti 46. The artist space group was founded in 1994 by Nico Soranno to create a collaborative educational program between the members as artist educators working with the students creating visuals studies approach designed to help members, to develope critical thinking skills to understand and explain the visual world around us.Connecting everyday experiences with social critique and creative expressions by looking at and analyzing visual art through a carefully constructed questioning strategy. In addition the members learn about careers in the art by meeting and visiting museum, artist working, painting open air,exposing them works in art show, by analyzing visual images and discussions. The program seeks to help, develope, increase the confidence and the ability to articulate personal viewpoints in the members discussions, art making and oral presentations. I welcome each of you to visit my site, I hope you will find this experience to be exiting enlightening, and educational. I am happy to share with you the experience and the art works, and look forward to you coming again as I continue to expand my art works.
