This scene has a very high contrast, among the areas affected by the light filtering through the windows and the deeper shade under the floor there were about 20 strong stop!
To try to increase the overall brightness I opened a door on the right out of the picture and I exposed favoring the shadows having already planned development reduced to not lose detail in the highlights. I exposed for 2 minutes at f/22, a T-MAX 400 which I later developed for half the time and half agitation. This photograph which at first glance may seem obvious and trivial maintained a detail and tonal scale so vast that surprises me every time I look.
