A work composed of a pictorial surface with a uniform red background. The color constitutes the primary visual field and defines the totality of the artwork’s space. The minimal element is transformed into an absolute gesture, which in contemporary terms continues to question the boundary between presence and disappearance.
At the center of the composition are six white raised elements, arranged in a regular pattern. The composition is framed by a white border that clearly delimits the internal red chromatic field, reinforcing the geometric structure and the separation between space and margin.
The work is part of a material and monochrome research in which the relationship between surface, color, and object—reduced to its elemental unit—becomes the core of the visual construction, in dialogue with the experiences of analytical art and investigations into the subtraction of form.
