A deep red, dense as living matter, opens the surface like a primal wound.
At the center of the composition emerges the burnt jute, reduced yet preserved by fire. Each carbonized weave becomes the trace of an irreversible passage, as if the material had undergone a ritual act of transformation, retaining its memory rather than its original form.
To observe the work is to stand in an in-between space, where matter ceases to be surface and becomes experience. A fragment of suspended combustion, fixed in the very moment when rupture turns into form.
